Carrot and orange juice, a tasty fountain of energy

Let’s face it, it’s not easy to convince our children to follow a healthy and balanced diet. Given our body’s heightened need to eat healthy meals that can fight the growing number of ailments brought on by stress and a sedentary lifestyle, this need is more important than ever.

Let’s consider the health benefits of carrot and orange juice, which contain elements that have long been associated with well-being. Juices made with fruits and vegetables are nutrient-dense, tasty, quick to make, and low in fat and sodium.

Homemade Juices: The Finest Option for Our Health

The foods on the shelves of our supermarkets are increasingly full of ready-made or semi-prepared products, which bring with them an extraordinary advantage: that of saving time and effort. Which, honestly, is the best we could hope for.

Fruit juices also represent ready-to-drink beverages, but to remain so for a long time, manufacturers add good doses of preservatives and, unfortunately, colourants that also make them pleasant to look at—another clever trick to attract the attention of little ones.

A homemade juice, on the other hand, is made using natural, fresh, genuine ingredients, whose preparation does not actually require much time.

Oranges and carrots are great for adults and children, and there is no better way to consume them than to drink them as juices.

Carrot and orange juice: vitamins with a capital C

The orange needs no introduction: it embodies the symbol of the perfect citrus fruit, a leading ally of our health, especially in the winter months, due to the presence of a notable amount of vitamin C.

Viruses and colds are just around the corner, and our body finds the magic formula to counteract their attack in oranges. Despite what we are led to believe, oranges hide other mysterious and very significant benefits.

Oranges are useful in the fight and prevention of cancer; they are very rich in potassium and fibre and are able to increase the response of our immune system, helping it to ward off many infections and diseases. In other words, they represent a treasure of immense value for our body. What about carrots, a rich source of vitamins A and C that are also good in avoiding heart disease and effectively combating the signs of ageing skin?

What is the difference between a centrifugal juicer and a juice extractor? The centrifugal juicer chops fruit and vegetables with steel blades at high speed and separates the juice from the pulp. The juice extractor works at low speed and does not use blades but squeezes the fruit.

Let’s get our children used to drinking homemade juices, and they will no longer have any reason to appreciate the store-bought ones. Let’s start doing it with this tasty carrot and orange juice, whose ingredients and preparation we review below.

Do we have any recipes with oranges? Of course we do!
